One person, tired of watching local businesses get overcharged and under-served.

Big-city web agencies charge $10,000 for a template site, hand you a login, and vanish. Break-fix IT shops keep your server alive but wouldn't know a conversion rate if it walked through the door. Local businesses get stuck between two vendors who don't talk to each other — and neither really understands the other's world.

The Founder

Hal Borland

Founder & Lead Engineer, BorlandTech LLC

Hal grew up in Northwest Arkansas and spent over a decade in enterprise technology — building web platforms, managing infrastructure, and supporting teams of every size. Along the way he noticed something: the businesses that needed great technology the most were the ones getting the worst service.

Local shops were paying agency prices for cookie-cutter sites. Tradespeople were calling break-fix IT guys who billed by the hour and never fixed the root problem. Nobody was offering the full picture — design that converts, infrastructure that stays up, and support that picks up the phone.

So he started BorlandTech. One company, four services, four markets, and a simple promise: treat every client's technology like it's your own. When Hal isn't building websites or troubleshooting networks, he's probably somewhere in the Ozarks — (Hal, add your hobbies here: hiking, fishing, etc.)
